WordPress Website and WebAR Showcase for a Dutch 3D & AR Plant Visualization Startup
Built the official website for Green View, a Netherlands-based startup on a mission to revolutionize the green sector with the power of 3D. The site presents the founders' offering custom 3D photography and Augmented Reality experiences for plants and flowers and lets visitors launch interactive WebAR demos of real specimens (e.g. Ficus Benjamina Daniella, Coprosma Eclipse) directly from the browser via QR codes. Implemented on WordPress with a clean, nature-led design and embedded WebAR / 3D model viewers so growers and retailers can place true-to-scale plants in their own space.
The Problem
The core challenge was presenting a highly technical, novel service AR and 3D plant visualization to a traditional horticultural audience in a way that felt approachable and credible. The site needed to load heavy 3D assets without hurting performance, trigger install-free AR across iOS and Android, and communicate the value proposition clearly in Dutch, all while remaining easy for the small founding team to update.
Developed a lightweight custom WordPress theme and integrated WebAR using model-viewer with glTF/GLB models for Android and USDZ for iOS Quick Look, so AR launches with no app install. 3D assets were lazy-loaded and compressed to protect Core Web Vitals, and QR codes were wired to per-plant AR scenes. The plant collection and team sections were structured with Custom Post Types so Green View can add new specimens and demos themselves.

KeyFeatures
Install-Free WebAR Plant Demos
Visitors launch true-to-scale AR previews of real plants directly from the browser no app required using model-viewer with glTF on Android and USDZ Quick Look on iOS.
QR-Code AR Triggers
Per-plant QR codes link straight to the matching AR scene, letting growers and retailers scan and view specimens in their own environment.
3D Plant Collection Showcase
An interactive gallery of 3D-photographed specimens (e.g. Ficus Benjamina Daniella, French Bolero Pink, Coprosma Eclipse) managed via Custom Post Types.
Performance-Optimized 3D Delivery
Heavy 3D assets are compressed and lazy-loaded to keep load times and Core Web Vitals strong despite rich interactive content.
Nature-Led Brand Design
A clean, minimal aesthetic with a green palette and generous whitespace that positions the green sector and the technology side by side.
Founder & Story Sections
Dedicated About and Team sections introducing Stephan and Lodewijk and the company mission, building trust with a traditional industry audience.

A detailed look at how we brought this project from concept to reality through our proven methodology.
Design & Visual Strategy (Figma)
Defined a nature-led visual identity in Figma, balancing the horticultural brand with the high-tech AR/3D proposition, and mapped the plant collection and AR demo flows.
WordPress Theme & WebAR Integration
Built the custom WordPress theme and integrated model-viewer-based WebAR with glTF/USDZ models, Custom Post Types for the plant collection, and QR-code triggers for each AR scene.
Optimization, Content & Launch
Compressed and lazy-loaded 3D assets, integrated initial plant content, ran cross-device AR testing on iOS and Android, and deployed with client training on managing the collection.
04 Outcomes delivered
- 01Delivered an install-free WebAR experience that works across iOS (USDZ Quick Look) and Android (glTF/model-viewer).
- 02Translated a complex 3D/AR proposition into a clean, nature-led marketing site aimed at the horticultural sector.
- 03Enabled QR-code-triggered AR demos of real plant specimens directly from the browser.
- 04Provided the founders with a Custom Post Type structure to manage the plant collection and AR demos without a developer.
Javapixa turned our vision of bringing plants into augmented reality into a website that actually works on every phone. Customers can now scan a code and see our plants in their own space. It's exactly the experience we wanted.
